The Sprits Within? featuring Aki Ross

BC: I thought that Ananova and the princess in Shrek were pretty good renderings of human body (well, female form) were pretty good, but Aki Ross established a new baseline for skin texture, hair, and natural movement. With original character design by Shuko Murase, motion capture supervised by Remington Scott, texture rendering by Daniel Casey and main character animation by Matthew Hackett. Although a box-office flop (pitched at adults not kids), this movie was a pointer to a wave of upcoming synthespian movies.
