BC: Roy Ascott is a totally under-recognised genius of interactive media - there are no works of his in the Tate collection for example. He has been and still is an inspirational teacher (both Pete Townshend and Bryan Eno benefited from his ground-breaking Ealing Art School foundation course) and now he is professor at Cardiff-based CAIA/STAR (alumni include Bill Seaman). Google Ascott for an insight into his lifetime of important insights and seminal work. This book brings together essays, papers and technoetic (Ascott's word) work from dozens of artists, designers, critics and scientists on the big issue of exploring consciousness.
